Dear Friends of Dance Salad Festival,

Dance Salad Festival is internationally praised as an exquisite and unique dance festival. Now in its 13th season in Houston, the Festival provides a curated dance experience that highlights beautiful and provocative dance from around the world.

It is always exciting to bring wonderful international dance companies to Houston for our Festival and share with you the magic that occurs when choreographers and dancers from around the world bring their artistic talent and ideas together.

While performances are always the high point of Festival week, Dance Salad Festival also includes much more. Our community outreach programs help us build multicultural understanding and appreciation,offer young dancers the opportunity to see and work with renowned dancers and choreographers, and provide free or reduced-price performance tickets to students and under- served audiences. You will find a schedule of 2008 Festival events in this brochure and on our website www.dancesalad.org. I hope that you will plan to attend as manyevents as you can.

As you may know, ticket sales cover less than 25% of Dance Salad’s costs. To fund the balance, we rely on the support of foundations, corporations and especially generous individuals – like you. I personally invite you to support Dance Salad Festival with a donation of whatever amount you choose.
