Choreographers’
Forum: A Conversation
Co-sponsored by The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the eight annual
Choreographer’s Forum will be held on Wednesday April
20th, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the MFAH’s Brown Auditorium,
Caroline Wiess Law Building. This free event is a special opportunity
to glimpse the creative process from some of the Festival’s
invited choreographers; to hear their points of view and to see
film clips of their work.There will be a reception following
the Forum at the MFAH. FREE to the general public.
Artist
to Artist Workshops
Artist to Artist Workshops provide an opportunity for the local
Houston dance community to interface with some of the world’s
premier dancers, choreographers and company directors participating
in Dance Salad Festival. Workshops at all levels, specifically
tailored for the local companies requesting a master class, are
offered throughout the week of April 18-April 23, 2011. The Open
Workshops are offered to intermediate-advanced to advanced students
at a nominal charge.
Afternoon
Student Concert Program
Designed for middle and high school age students, the Afternoon
Student Concert Program combines a short “behind the scenes” tour,
educational talks and a final dress rehearsal performance in
the Cullen Theater, Wortham Center. This free program will be
offered on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from
11:30 – 2:30 PM.

live Festival performances at the Cullen Theater, Wortham Center.
This film on DVD is available for schools, libraries, community
centers and groups in the Greater Houston Area. If you would
