For this FREE one-night program with the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Founder and Artistic Director Nancy Henderek has handpicked filmed excerpts of curated performances from the past 25 seasons of Dance Salad Festival by acclaimed choreographers, dancers, and dance companies from around the world.

Originally documented by Houston International Dance Coalition for archival purposes, this film footage has now been edited as a new unique compilation of these excerpts from many beautiful curated works. For this MFAH presentation on Zoom, Nancy will introduce the film and provide a short background about its creation.

With very limited live dance available at this time, Nancy created this special film as a gift to Houston dance lovers.

For the first time, watch Dance Salad Festival performances for FREE in an unprecedented way. Perhaps you saw some of these groundbreaking works when they were presented live on stage at the Cullen Theater in the Wortham Center or viewed clips of previous performances discussed by the featured choreographers as part of our annual Choreographers Forum at the MFAH.

In this film, excerpted performances range in length from two to ten minutes (estimated running time of one hour and 15 minutes). Some of the featured choreographers include Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Jirí Kylián, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, David Dawson, and many more.
